Our Union of Venture Students also run their own programme of Societies - If you have an idea for a club or activity you would like to see at the Academy, students can run their own societies! Come and see Mr McInally for further information.

Our many clubs are in addition to the Academic Tutoring programme the Academy operates for targetted students and the comprehensive Guild Programme (Wednesdays period 5) run to broaden horizons and extend knowledge.

Guilds are an enrichment activity that all students opt into for a 4 week block twice yearly. It is an opportunity to study a topic / hobby / passion that is often not commonplace in curriculums. Guilds build skills, model character and develop cultural capital for students, and are led by members of staff, external partners and students themselves. They are hugely valuable exciting opportunities that students can use to develop their citizenship and knowledge.
