We are committed to our Academy  providing a caring, positive, safe and stimulating environment for all

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

Safeguarding

We are committed that our Academy provides a caring, positive, safe and stimulating environment that promotes the social, physical and moral development of the individual child. We recognise the importance of providing an environment within our Academy that will help children feel safe and respected.

CEOP helps any child or young person under the age of 18 who is being pressured, forced or tricked into taking part in sexual activity of any kind.

This can be something that has taken place either online or in ‘the real world’, or both. The CEOP Safety Centre has clear information and advice on what can be reported to CEOP, the reporting process and what will happen if you do decide to make a report. You can visit the CEOP Safety Centre and make a report directly to CEOP by clicking the Click CEOP button.

If you are experiencing online bullying or something else online has worried you please speak to an adult you trust, or you can talk to Childline at any time on 0800 1111 or at www.childline.org.uk

Meet The Team

From left to right:

Miss A Jackson (Student Support and Safeguarding Officer) Mrs M Lane (Head of Senior Year, Safeguarding Governor), Mr D Smith (Senior College Leader) and  Mrs N Rossage (Designated Safeguarding Lead, Vice Principal).

We believe that...

...our Academy will provide a caring, positive, safe and stimulating environment that promotes the social, physical and moral character development of the individual child.

We recognise the importance of providing an environment within our Academy that will help children feel safe and respected. We recognise the importance of enabling children to talk openly about anything that worries them and to feel confident that they will be listened to.
We will work in partnership with parents to build an understanding of the Academy’s responsibilities to ensure the welfare of all children, including the need for referrals to other agencies in some situations.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility: all staff, governors and volunteers will play their full part in keeping children safe;

A child-centred approach:
a clear understanding of the needs and views of children.

Our students can report any safeguarding concerns electronically at any time, whether during or outside of the school day, via the Big Red Button or
Please note that we read emails Monday-Friday between 8am and 4pm during term time only.
